"I attended my first YOTC event in the winter of last year at UPenn. As someone who identifies as a Christian but rarely attends Ethiopian church events, I was a little nervous to go to the session. However, upon entering the meeting space, I felt incredibly comfortable and sensed the genuine friendships between YOTC members. I realized from the sermon and our subsequent, free-flowing conversations that there were actually a lot of similarities between YOTC member's concerns and my own. I left feeling more connected to a piece of my culture- the Church - that I previously took for granted."
